eric Savage may be new to the world of spa, but he’s not
new to being a business leader—over his long career in the
automotive industry, he’s bought and sold 13 car dealer-
ships. at one point, Savage managed 9 dealerships and 450
employees. in 2016, he fell in love with spa and dove
headfirst into learning the business. now based in hawaii,
Savage opened freedom Spas, a chain of 10 spas, in 2018.
he credits iSPa’s incredible member resources—which
provided him with reference material, data and
education—as a big boon to making this transition.
Savage long sought to make the automotive business
more customer-centric—“the life-improvement business,
instead of the car business,” says Savage. With spa, Savage
says that he feels like he’s “finally found my tribe!” n
