Pulse: Why did you decide to pursue a career in the beauty industry? bosch: During a stressful time, I discovered yoga and fell in love with the self-care aspect of it. I realized I had to take care of myself in order to take care of my family and what was important to me. That’s when I decided to become a certified yoga instructor and, later, a licensed esthetician. I wanted to find a career path that not only meant something to me but meant something to others. I love that my career path will allow me to help people look and feel their best, which I’ve found firsthand is imperative to being successful and getting through difficult times. P: tell us about your career aspirations. b: My dream is to own my own wellness spa where people can relax, get pampered and tune into their inner selves. I want to be able to combine all my training as a yoga instructor and an esthetician into one all-encom- passing destination. It will be a lot of work, but I know my dedication will make it happen. P: What advice would you give someone who wanted to pursue a career in the spa, wellness or beauty industries? b: See the good in everything, stay focused on your vision, persevere, and don’t forget to take care of yourself! With my work, I see people all the time who want to help everyone else but forget to take care of themselves too. P: What would you consider to be your biggest success? What lessons have you learned from it? b: Being able to collaborate with other professionals who support and inspire me is one of my biggest successes. The people in this industry are so collaborative, thoughtful and inviting that having the opportunity to work alongside them every day has been so rewarding. Also, the more clients I work with to help heal, elevate and relax, the more I view each of them as a piece of my own success. I’ve learned when the people you help are successful, that becomes part of your success as well. P: How has the Murad scholarship and the get your dream Job campaign helped you with your career aspirations? b: First, I’ve had the opportunity to surround myself with exceptional people I wish to emulate. There’s no substitute for mentorships and relationships in this industry. Being surrounded by those leaders has allowed me to picture myself among them one day. Second, the scholarship has allowed me to pay off some of my student loans, so I can start saving for my wellness spa. It has allowed me to jump that much closer to my dream job. P: Where do you see yourself in five years? b: Fulfilling my purpose and being my best self. One of the main ways I’ll accomplish this is by taking great care of my children and myself. Finding my purpose in the spa and wellness field has allowed me to become the best mom and show them how to reach for your dreams. Also, I hope to be working and teaching at my own wellness spa. I want to make a positive difference in my community and the universe and I know my career will take me there. all about yvEttE favorite spa treatment: Facials go-to beauty Product: coconut oil i can’t leave the House without My: Sunscreen favorite Way to relieve stress: Meditation My dream Job is: cEo of my own Wellness SPA bosch putting her new skills to work.
