GLAMOUR RUN YOUR FINGERS THROUGH MY HAIR! Tips for Luscious Hair Avoid brushing your hair while it's wet. Wet hair is stretchier and has a tendency to break. Only use a wide-tooth comb. Apply a deep conditioning treatment like olive oil, argan oil, avocado oil or coconut oil 2 times a week. Don't Rub The Towel Back And Forth on your Head. Did you know that if you use a towel after your shower to dry your hair you are causing split ends and adding static electricity to your hair. Instead pat dry. Trim Your Troubles: As the ends of your hair get older and damaged by rough handling, they become prone to splitting. Get regular trims, at least 1/2 inch every four to eight weeks. Apply products 10 minutes before you style. Whether you’re curling, straightening, or whatevering, applying product 10 minutes in advance helps it fully absorb into your strands so you get all of its benefits and more bang for your buck. Use dry shampoo a different way. Instead of waiting until your locks need an dirt-fighting pick-me-up, apply a dab of dry shampoo to your roots immediately after you wash and dry them. Though your hair’s already clean, the barrier will stave off the debris and oil your strands will collect throughout the day before it hits. Bonus: It also gives you killer volume. Do a DIY Shine Boost Mix 2 tablespoons apple-cider vinegar or a dash of baking soda with a quarter-size squirt of your favorite shampoo in a small bowl before you lather up once a week. Both will strip hair of dulling product buildup and crank up shine. 17
