This time of the year has always been my favorite, especially because of the ISPA Conference & Expo which recharges my personal and professional batteries every year. I’m especially proud of this year’s lineup of speakers and of the Conference edition of Pulse which is packed with essential Conference information and expert insights. To help you make the most out of your Conference experience, let me share some words of wisdom from a few of your ISPA Board of Directors. SEAN HANDLER: “The keynote sessions inspire me each year. Don’t miss the exciting return of Jim Collins [who will] teach us how to be great by choice.” MICHAEL TOMPKINS: “Take a systematic approach to the Expo floor, taking your time on each row and speaking with the resource partners. Remember, there’s only so much space in a booth and they might have items not at Conference that you need to hear about. Finally, take time to ’be’ spa—introduce yourself to a stranger or choose a [table] at lunch on the Expo floor where you don’t know anyone.” DEBORAH WALDVOGEL: “Use the tools you receive before Conference to plan your time each day. Choose your Professional Development Sessions, set up meetings with vendors you really want to connect with, and attend the General Sessions. But also schedule some ‘free’ time each day for opportunities to network, explore and take care of yourself.” SHARILYN ABBAJAY: “Know your purpose and be prepared to be inspired by the keynote [and] Professional Development Sessions speakers. Take time to experience a break in the Relaxation Area. Don’t forget to download the ISPA [mobile] app and participate in the ISPA Foundation Live & Silent Auction. Last but not least, have fun!” PAUL SCHMIDT: “Make sure to take advantage of all the Professional Development Sessions. There is information to glean from every session that will change you and your business for the better.” PHILIPPE THERENE: “For resource partners, it’s all about doing your pre-conference homework and having an attractive and interactive booth staffed [by] the best from your company. Have quality material ready to hand out, bring enough business cards and take advantage of all the networking opportunities Conference has to offer.” This is sure to be our best Conference ever.
