on the spa experience.” As an association leading
the way towards shaping the spa industry as a
whole, we hold a great responsibility, along with an
opportunity, to engage and influence consumers—
regardless of age and geography—to embrace the spa lifestyle and live healthier and longer lives.
To do this though, we need a deeper understanding of our consumers, how their behavior
has changed, what drives them to the spa and how we can turn them into loyal spa-goers. This
is where the ISPA Foundation’s consumer research comes in. Currently in the pipeline, the
research will dissect today’s spa consumer and give us an industry snapshot of their spa habits
and preferences. With this information, we will be able to strategize innovative educational pro-
