member profile G SPA A Holistic Spa Business Model in Historic Beirut BY ALLIE HEMBREE I n the heart of historic Beirut in Lebanon, Roula Ghanem opened G spa in 2002 with a clear vision. She wanted to provide the young yet growing Lebanese spa market with an all-in-one place for beauty, fitness and wellness. This idea gave birth to the G spa business model which encompasses three unique yet complementary departments: G style, G fit and G med. “All the departments are under the G spa name,” Ghanem says, adding that having a holistic business model allows them to p rovide their customers the complete spa and wellness experience under one roof. G spa houses all three departments within its three-story and over 2,500square-meter property. “G spa is the only spa in Lebanon that offers a [complete] wellness service, from beauty, body shaping treatments, relaxation, fitness, hair care and aesthetic medicine,” she says. 14 PULSE ■ November 2012
