responsibility for their own contribution to the team environment and stay focused on creating joy. Focus on creating a culture that is energy gaining at all three levels of performance: 1) Mindset, 2) skill set, and 3) systems. Identifying the Factors Your teams are either focused on creating “dreams” or “drama.” Without consistent reinforcement, the team will be less productive. Here are the top factors that de-motivate your team: ● No formal system to resolve conflict—resentment is present. ● Subconscious feelings of self-doubt (their own inner chatter). ● Cliques in the spa team. ● Team contests that reward “best” vs. “most improved.” ● High levels of uncertainty or unpredictability or low trust. ● Feeling unrecognized and unrewarded. ● Insufficient skills, time or support to achieve set goals.
