Me with past ISPA Chairman Deborah Waldvogel, another inspiring person in
our industry, at Conference. So many inspiring speakers have graced the stage
at Conference. During the 2007 ISPA Conference Jim Collins taught us how to be
data-driven. You might be seeing him again at Conference very soon (hint, hint)!
end notes
A
big hint was dropped in my column
last month about this year’s
Conference theme. In case you didn’t
catch it, we plan to Inspire you in
2012! It’s such a fitting theme because
the spa industry is filled with inspiring people and a
drive to inspire others to lead a healthy lifestyle. It made
me think about the people in my life who inspire me.
My parents, without a doubt, have been the
biggest role models in my life. Their 50+
year marriage is truly inspirational. They
taught my sisters and me the true
meaning of hard work and dedication.
Their many accomplishments made us
strive to be overachievers.
My husband Barry inspires me
every day. I envy his vision, and he
has it in spades. He develops real
estate for a living and has the
ability to see things that I can’t even imagine.
I can’t sign off without mentioning the men and women
who probably inspire me the most. They dedicate their lives to
service in the military. The work the armed forces do is so
important and a true inspiration. If you think you have it
tough, just take a moment to think about what these brave
individuals sacrifice. It’s going to be a great year, and I can’t
wait to see who inspires us.
My parents circa 1957.
Healthy blessings,
