1. As we begin a new year it’s time to make a list of to-do’s including your yearly
physical exam. Cooper Wellness in Dallas, Texas is taking it a step further by
offering overnight stays for two to six days. The stay-over includes a comprehensive physical exam, focuses on exercise and nutrition and evaluates your
stress levels. After the exam, the client has phone access to one-on-one health
guidance with a Cooper coach.
2. The Golden Door in Escondido, California appoints Kayla Roche as Executive
Chef—the first woman in this position for nearly 20 years and its youngest
ever at just 25 years of age. Prior to her appointment as Executive Chef, she
served as sous-chef, gaining experience in preparing the gourmet spa cuisine
that is an important part of the overall experience for guests at the Golden
Door.

3. Lexli introduces the Lexli Loyalty Program, a new sales stream for its client’s
consumers who place first-time orders online. Consumers will have to register
under their current skin care professional or select a local Lexli distributor via
zip code search. Once paired with a consumer, the professional organization
receives a commission on each of the individual’s online sales.

4. Nob Hill Spa in San Francisco, California opens a new Zen Room to allow
guests to experience a quiet retreat after their treatments are completed. The
room was built in contrast to the more social indoor pool area where guests
used to unwind after their spa experiences.

5. Stephanies Spa Retreat in Brisbane, Australia was named “Best Hotel Day Spa”
at the 2010 Australasian Spas of Excellence Awards by ASpa. The spa is
located in the Sofitel Brisbane Central Hotel which celebrates French heritage
with spa treatments that are French-inspired.

Bee Beautiful, a full service green salon and spa in Hunt Valley, Maryland has partnered with a Maryland-based charity to help critically ill children. The Casey Cares
Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides uplifting programs to children suffering from cancer, works with Bee Beautiful every month to create a special spa day

Bon Vital’ Inc., a wellness and health care product manufacturer based in Hartland,
Wisconsin, offers a $1,000 Massage Stimulus Package to a massage therapist or
massage student. The winner will be randomly drawn, and
Bon Vital’ President Thomas Heidenberger hopes that the
stimulus package will inspire “massage therapists and
students to promote the theme of giving to their clients, and spread the
word of massage therapy.” Bon Vital’ is considering extending the Massage Stimulus Plan through 2011 by giving
