ENDNOTES
A
s the year comes to a close, it seems a good
time to reflect on what was done well during
the year and what I would like to do better in
the coming year. These life lessons can be
found all around, and I was lucky enough to
find several at this year’s ISPA Conference.
●
I learned from Jim Collins to make sure I have the right people on
the bus and in the right seats.
●
I learned from Deborah Szekely to reflect on my calendar at the end
of each week to determine if this is how I want to spend my life.
●
I learned from Dr. Jordan Metzl to get up and get moving each
morning when the alarm clock rings.
●
I learned from Louis Schwartzberg to recognize the beauty that surrounds us every day.
●
I learned from Peter Sheahan to think outside the box, or fringe as
he would call it.
●
I learned from ISPA’s Chairman Ella Stimpson that she and I can
have opposite world views, but still agree on many other aspects in
life.
●
I learned from the ISPA staff that
sometimes singing a silly song during
our 6 am breakfast Conference
meetings will make the long days
brighter.
