IN THE FACE OF DISASTER
BY MAE MAÑACAP-JOHNSON
The spa industry is quick on its feet to help especially in times of disaster. When
Haiti was struck by a devastating earthquake last year, the spa community was among the first to
bond and raise funds to help victims. When hurricane Katrina flooded New Orleans and other states
in the U.S., ISPA members volunteered time and money to rebuild communities. When Japan was
devastated by a deadly tsunami, those in the business of giving the gift of healing was again ready
to share time and financial support.
The spa community is never short of heroic
individuals and businesses who step up in the face
of disaster. Visit digital Pulse at experienceispa.com
