KORPI & KORPI PEORIA, ARIZONA Certainly not the typical clothing rack with a “new arrivals” sign or a set of stack tables with merchandise piled on top. No, it has to be some piece of art or artifact that catches my attention. For example, I remember when Miraval Resort & Spa first opened, the retail manager positioned two museum cases at the entrance of the retail space with exquisite Native American pottery which sold for several thousands of dollars, and brilliantly drew me into the shop to explore. Likewise, many years ago, we bought a beautiful glass-top pedestal table and sourced a five-foot-tall statue of a kneeling woman with outstretched arms holding a silver plate. We then place three bottles of our private label spa products on the plate. Instantly, the sales of these products tripled. What’s one product you can’t live without? At [this] stage in [my] life, it [would be] any product that says “anti-aging” or “agedefying.” Take the CSS and Retail Spa Exams at Conference This Year G et the skills needed to succeed in your profession through ISPA’s Certified Spa Supervisor (CSS) program.
