The number of DAY SPAS operating across the U . S . has increased at 1.8 percent compared to day spa number estimates ( 16,400 ) in 2014 .
The number of RESORT / HOTEL SPAS is estimated at 1,800 , representing an increase of 1.3 percent compared to 1,780 resort / hotel spas in 2014 .
The number of MEDICAL SPAS has risen by two percent compared to the 2014 estimate of 1,720 medical spas .
