Meet the Influencers In the world of spa, beauty and wellness, there are many influencers who have managed to build a massive online fan base, thanks to their expert and relatable content. The list below is by no means an exhaustive lineup of all the influencers, but is simply a showcase of online influencers worth noting in the digital space. Michelle Phan MICHELLEPHAN.COM With a growing global community that has reached more than 8 million, Michelle Phan’s videos have been viewed more than one billion times. Phan has also been on Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30” list in the category of Art and Style and Inc. magazine’s “30 Under 30 Coolest Entrepreneurs of 2015.” In addition to her immensely successful YouTube channel, Phan also co-founded ipsy in 2011, an online beauty community and subscription box. Kayla Itsines is one of them. With 5.7 million followers on Instagram, she provides coaching tips, quick workouts and daily menus and fitness inspiration to her followers. Her videos often include beauty hauls, makeup tips, style look books and product reviews. Wildly popular on Instagram with more than two million followers, yoga expert Rachel Brathen is also the author of Yoga Girl. In 2015, she co-founded a new philanthropic company called 109 World. Lee Kynaston GROOMINGGURU.CO.UK Voted “Beauty/Grooming Blogger of The Year” at the Fashion Monitor Journalism Awards, Lee Kynaston is one of the best-known and most experienced male grooming experts in the United Kingdom, having spent eight years on Men’s Health as Grooming Editor. He is the writer behind the popular blog, groomingguru.co.uk. He has more than 500,000 followers on Twitter. Marion Nestle FOODPOLITICS.COM Author of several books on food politics and healthy eating, Nestle holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology and is a professor of nutrition, food studies, sociology and public health at New York University.
