Wreaths. Since we are coming up on the holidays where wreaths are increasing- ly popular, you may have already started thinking about adding one to your front door. But even after the holidays are over, switch out that cedar wreath for a pretty spring floral wreath. Just like potted plants, it’s a great way to soften the space and a quick and easy way to change the look of your porch based on the current season. Seating. If you have the room, nothing says come hang out at my home quite like a comfy sitting area on your front porch. Step it up a notch by adding outdoor pillows and throw blankets that will make your guests want to stay to finish a whole cup of your freshly brewed tea. Lastly, think about what your underlying style is. Personally, I don’t like to limit my- self to just one; I believe deeply in blending styles for a more personal look. It may be easier to start with one favorite style and over time you might find you enjoy blend- ing as much as I do. Just be sure to carry that theme and a simple color palette all the way through your home and onto your porch. It will set the stage for your guests and they’ll be excited to see what the rest of your home has to offer.
