The family loved to visit different mom and pop bookstores on their travels, and at some point they found one in Savannah, Ga., that only sells books written by author Mary Kay Andrews.
Ranae bought one, and said she instantly fell in love with it.“ I was like,‘ Oh my gosh! I realize why my mother loved books.’”
In contrast, Jessica said that she always loved reading.“ I lived in a fiction world as a child, and went into nonfiction very quickly, and never left,” she said.
She rediscovered her love of fiction later in life, however, when she picked up“ A Court of Thorns and Roses” by Sarah J. Maas, and quickly read through the entire series.
She said that her all-time favorite author is Anne Rice, but both she and Ranae highly recommend“ Pages of Love and Hate” by Carol Bryant.
“ She’ s our employee, but she has her own book out,” Ranae said.
In addition to being a place to shop for books, the store is a place for some to play games or just hang out.
The store hosts a book club every month, where the group chooses two or three books that everyone reads together.
That takes place on the first Thursday of every month, and it costs $ 30 to join.
