Eagle ' s Nest has a large putting green and a driving range . The par-71 course measures 6,409 yards form the championship tees , while the women ' s course is a par 73 and measures 5,055 yards .
Our favorite holes at Eagle ' s Nest :
Hole 8 - Par 3 , 141 yards – With an elevated tee box , the golfers treated to a scenic view as they look down onto a large pearshaped green tucked into a large lake . Anything right or short will find the drink .
Anything left will find dry land , but will leave golfer with a difficult up-anddown . If the pin is placed on the right of the green , bring an extra ball or two .
Hole 12 - Par 4 , 388 yards – From the start this seemingly simple , downhill hole can cause lots of problems . The golfer is faced a blind tee shot with the fairway disappearing over the hill . To put yourself in good shape off the tee , the golfer must hit over the trees left of the fairway , and a perfectly hit ball will gain some extra roll off the slanted downhill fairway . Your second shot will be all downhill to a small green that is guarded by a bunker in the front and steep downhill slopes on the other three sides .
