SomerSplash ' s park boasts twenty acres of water-related fun , with attractions running the gamut from relaxing to intense . The park includes :
A kiddie play area with more than 30 interactive features , including a bucket that dumps water onto the heads of visitors at intervals .
A wading pool for those under 48 inches tall .
The Lazy River , the largest such attraction within the state of Kentucky .
The tube slide , a half-enclosed , halfopen drop from a 40-foot-tall tower .
Three body slides , set up side-by-side for folks to race each other to the bottom .
The wave pool , a six-feet deep pool that
features waves up to four feet .
The bowl slide , a circular ride that two people can tackle at once .
The speed slide in which riders plunge down smoothly into the pool below .
Outside of the pools , visitors can enjoy sunbathing on the lounge chairs around the park , relaxing under the umbrellas , or getting lunch from the food area .
Lifeguards are all certified by the American Red Cross , with special deep water certification given to those who watch areas like the wave pool .
