Then , there ' s the food that can be found at the concession stand there at the Drive-In . Roaden said the stand has changed throughout the years , starting with just serving popcorn to having a full grill on site .
" A lot of people over the years have been stopping by just for the food ," he said .
" Of course , nothing goes as well as fresh popcorn ," he added , but folks can also dine on burgers , fries , nachos and cheese , candy or some icecold drinks .
The Drive-In is located at 5270 South Highway 27 and operates from spring to fall , usually from April to September . They are open Fridays , Saturdays and
Sundays . Showtimes start at dusk , and change as " dusk " changes throughout the summer .
Each screen shows two movies , with an intermission and local advertisements between each movie .
The Drive-In uses a radio system to pipe the movie ' s audio over FM stations , meaning audio requires a radio to hear it . Guests can either use the radio on their vehicle or bring a portable radio with them .
