Xiphophorus hellerii
We can create many different styles of biotope aquaria when us-
ing T. meeki. The pond biotope is an interesting one to create in a
smaller aquarium, as unlike many other CA cichlid biotopes, large
rocks aren’t really a part of the scape. When stocking this particu-
lar style of tank, it will be better to start with a small group of juve-
niles. When pair bonding takes place, we can always remove sur-
plus stock later on.
Step 3: Step 4:
I add a long thin beech branch to the scape, this
is positioned from the top. Doing this, we can see
that the composition becomes more like a
mound shape. The height of the Lilly plant helps
with the composition. We can start to add thinner branches to the low-
er levels to keep shape and form.
