Gastronomy
Polish cuisine is a mix of western and foreign Slavic culinary traditions. Arisen from the
mixture of diverse culinary customs of various regions of Poland and neighboring
cultures, it uses a wide variety of ingredients. It is rich in meat of all kinds and
seasonings, as well as different types of pasta and dumplings, the most popular are
pierogi.
Pierogi:
dumplings, usually stuffed with cabbage and / or
mushroom, meat, potatoes and / or seasoned
cheese, sweet cheese curd with a dash of vanilla,
or blueberries or other fruits. Optionally in sweet
versions are covered with sour cream, and sugar;

Sękacz
It is a cake made of butter, egg
whites and yolks, flour, sugar and
cream, baked on a rotating spit in
the oven or on an open fire.
