Mission: Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant
County is a nonprofit agency dedicated to
providing fresh, nutritious meals and needed
services to homebound individuals who are
unable to prepare meals for themselves and
have no one to help them on a regular basis.
This service supplies much-needed food and
daily visits to elderly, disabled, and chronically
ill people in Tarrant County. Meals are prepared
in the agency’s own kitchen to ensure the
highest quality food at a reasonable cost. The
meals and services the agency provides allow
homebound people to remain at home for as
long as possible, maintaining their
independence and dignity.

The intern will:
Support the day to day operation of managing a
large volunteer workforce through our Volunteer
Services department
Assist with fundraising events in the Marketing
Department
Interact with clients in our Client Services
Department.
Assist with volunteer recruitment, training, and
appreciation events
Support the golf tournament, Casino Night, and
North Texas Giving Day
Use social media to promote fundraising activities
Assist in preparing newsletters sent to donors,
volunteers, and clients.
Organize client services pantry
Makes calls to check on clients (well check
Run meal routes
Deliver equipment/toiletries to clients
Assist Caseworkers as needed
