STRUCTURE
Live fire exercises continually develop officers’ skills by allowing them to use their weapon systems
while moving through the scenario or reactive target system in the facility. Each officer enters
rooms and areas of the structure and must make split-second decisions on whether to shoot
or not shoot. The live-fire training helps develop the skills necessary to build teamwork and allows
officers to evaluate tactics that are crucial for success during life-threatening situations.
The tactical training center allows officers to train for individual or small group tactics as well
as individual and small group movement techniques and integration with special teams.
