Hernando County Fishing Club meets on the second Wednesday of the month . Our next meeting will be April 10 , 2024 at 6:30 pm at the VFW post 9236 located at 3435 Shoal Line Blvd ., Hernando Beach , Florida . Visitors are welcome !!! The club provides a forum for folks to get-together , exchange ideas and listen to fishing guides , equipment experts and government personnel that affect our sport . Wednesday , April 17 3:00 pm John Pilger ’ s “ Palestine is Still the Issue ” ( 2002 ) 52 min & “ Daily Life Under Israeli Occupation : Gaza Under Siege ” ( 2001 ) 27 min . You may notice that these are not brand new , but they will be new to everyone that understands the issue only based on October 7th , 2023 . As always , we encourage discussion & value your thoughts as the situation continues . Our tax dollars flow to Israel year after year . Since 2005 we have shown enriching docs & art films
Hernando County Kennel Club meetings are held at 8:00 PM on the third Thursday of the month at Hernando Senior Citizens Center , 8187 Fort Dade Ave , Brooksville , FL . Guests are welcome . The next meeting is April 18 , 2024 . Only Service dogs allowed during meeting . Training classes for AKC Conformation , Rally , and Obedience are held weekly at the same location . This program was established for the security and well-being of those individuals living alone who would like daily contact with someone who cares . Hernando HOPE ( Helping Other People with Empathy ) is getting homeless people into homes & jobs . Starting with food , clothing , & toiletries including disposable paper goods & grooming products like shampoo , razor blades , toothpaste & toothbrushes , soaps , etc . We then get them IDs so they can work & next we help them find jobs . It takes persistent effort & lots of support . If you have the time and compassion to share We Need You ! Call 571-748-8033 .
