PTM: Give us a brief background history for those very
few who may not know of Tanya Tate.
Tanya Tate: I am originally from Liverpool in the UK. After working in an of?ce environment I was bored and
looking for something more exciting. I decided to make
the move into adult and shot my ?rst scene the end of
2008.
PTM: Did you have any expectations and or concerns
upon entering the Adult Industry?
Tanya Tate: I wanted to make sure I was 100% happy
with making an adult movie before making the ?rst
step. I made the choice to tell my close family, having
their support helped. I didn’t have any expectations,
except to be sure to enjoy whatever I was to encounter.
PTM: Give us some insights into how you were feeling
before, during and after your ?rst scene.
Tanya Tate: I was really excited yet a little worried at
?rst, especially when I saw the guy and his massive
tool. When we ?rst started the scene I was a little nervous, but I soon relaxed and started enjoying myself. I
soon forgot the camera was there.
PTM: Why the move from the UK to the US?
Tanya Tate: It seemed the natural step to take to progress my career. The UK market is much smaller than in
the US. So, to increase my visibility and make more of
an impact, I came to America.
PTM: Tanya Tate before the Adult Industry and Tanya
Tate now, what’s the difference between the two and
what remains the same?
Tanya Tate: I am still the same friendly down to earth
person treating others as I wish to be treated. I have
become more con?dent as a person. I have acquired a
whole lot of new skills such as running a PR company
and directing.
PTM: What do you think the state of the Adult Industry
is at this moment?
Tanya Tate: It has changed since I started. I have seen
the budgets shrink so not as many movies are being
made. A lot of this is due to free porn available on the
internet and the decline in the economy.

Tanya Tate: First decide if you 100% want to do it. Once
you have shot your ?rst movie you cannot change your
mind, that scene will always be available for viewing. Once you have decided on an agent, shoot your
scenes as best as you can for your fans. Try to save
your money and think about what you will do after being a performer.
PTM: You’re a woman with many titles, one happens to
be publicist. What is the reason behind www.StarFactoryPR.com and who are some of your clients?
Tanya Tate: We work with a small number of clients
to help them build their brand. We have a mix of clients: 2013 Danni Girl Of the Year Adrianna Luna. Lea
Lexis, co-producer and star of award winning series
Voracious from Evil Angel. Up and coming star Cindy
Starfall. Star Factory PR has just signed up two more
clients Adult Movie Feature Dancer of the Year Richelle
Ryan and ?tness MILF Jewels Jade. We even have
CoCo Brown who will be the ?rst adult star to become
an astronaut.
PTM: Tell us about your company Filly Films?
Tanya Tate: I was approached by Dion at Filly Films to
direct a movie. I had shot my Tanya Tate Casting Couch
series and my own content for my hardcore website
www.TanyaTate.com, but this was the ?rst time I would
be directing for another company. I took on the challenge. I wanted to produce lesbian movies where the
girls look hot and the sex is passionate. My ?rst movie
Tanya Tate the MILF Masseuse scored an AVN nomination for Best Older / Younger release. My ?fth movie
Tanya Tate’s College Cuties Seduce MILF Beauties has
just been released. So far the reviews are amazing. I am
currently working towards my next Filly Films project.
PTM: The documentary “Date A Porn Star”, how was
that experience?
Tanya Tate: A UK television company ?ew out one of
my fans to come and meet me in LA. I always enjoy
meeting my fans at the fan conventions that I make
appearances at. It was nice to get to spend time with
my fan without it being rushed. He got to come watch
what happens on set, I was performing and directing
for Filly Films with hottie Natalia Starr. We had lunch
in Santa Monica. The guy was really nice and it was a
fun experience.
PTM: What are some words of wisdom you can give
someone who is new to the industry?
