So Why dance?
As physics says, energy needs some medium to travel. Our body is a medium for the energy; our physical body is always connected with the energy. Everyone have different energy, some may be strong or some may be not. Knowing our own energy is very important, there are many ways- yoga, dancing, concentrating, meditation, etc.
Whatever we do with our physical body, it affects our energy and vice-versa. Mediation require one to sit still and silent, but we are so much involved in worldly activities and cumulate stress in our mind, so it becomes difficult to sit. One, who is sitting first time for meditation, may experience physical sensation in body- pain, itching, numbness in feet, etc. These are common because you are sitting for first time, it will take time to get used to it.
Dancing doesn’t require being still and silent, all it requires is to just “be yourself”, starting meditation with dancing is very help full. Dancing reduces tension, stress, helps to gain more body control and you’ll be happy because you can’t remain sad when dancing.
Try yourself
In 5 minutes
You can use this 5 minute music. First, 1 minute for deep breathing, then 3 minutes for dancing, and last 1:20 minutes for relaxing.
Stand straight on your feet, balance weight on your both feet, keep your back straight, neck straight, and close your eyes.
Take deep breathe (take breathe down till stomach) and exhale slowly. Repeat 3 times. Eyes closed.
Take your right and left hands out, slowly, feel the air touching your body. Spread your arms.
Make any rhythmic pattern of hand movement, but as of now, it should be slow and flow.
Change your position by stepping your feet forward, backward and to the sides. Just be slow and eyes closed.
Do it for 3 minutes continuously without any interruption. Just be slow and flow.
Now, sit down where you are. Take deep breath and eyes closed.
Feel the sensation in yourself. You’re more relaxed, calm and happy.
Take deep breath and open your eyes slowly.
Now, you will feel aliveness in the air. You notice a strange wave running through your body. You are fresh.
In meditation, it is always better to experiment practically. You may read hundreds of articles and books on meditation; it is only useful for theoretical knowledge. To experience universal energy, you have to meditate.
So, now you have experienced energy in your body. You have just touch the surface of ocean, an ocean with powerful eternal energy.
