Psychopomp Magazine Winter 2015 | Page 5

Words from the Editors

Dear Readers,

We kick off 2015 with six stories and a selection of original artwork that have truly ferried us away from the familar. In the coming months, we’ll be releasing the print anthology from our first year and announcing the winner of our second annual contest judged by Kate Bernheimer, which closes at the end of January (so send away!).

Within these pages you’ll find a rebellion of children against a joyless, artificial lawn, a rapping merbaby with militaristic ambitions, a world where words embody coded meanings, the power of tarot spreads over belief and action, the livelihoods surrounding the unicorn hunting business, and a brief tale of murder, magic, and power.

Thank you for supporting Psychopomp Magazine. We don’t know what this next year will bring, but we have high hopes that we’ll continue to grow and share the best innovative and genre-bending prose we can find.

Warm Regards,

Sequoia Nagamatsu
