Dyanna Dimick attended UC Santa Cruz to receive her BA in Fine Art, sculpture emphasis. She lives and works in San Francisco, CA.

Dyanna creates art in two ways. One starts with a clear concept and presents itself in a more structured, planned out manner. With the other, she lets the raw material and her subconscious take over. These hold a more abstract feel. Many of her pieces include found objects, bringing attention to life’s commonly overlooked items. She appreciates the idea of reuse and giving meaning and value to items people overlook and discard. Collecting plays a large role in her creative process. She uses any material she can get her hands on.

You can often see the influence of Dyanna's sculptural background in her work. She gladly embraces the synthesis of painting and sculpture. Music and material highly influence her creative process.

After her first solo show in 2004, Dyanna has exhibited work in various galleries and public spaces throughout California, sold work overseas, created art for musicians and has been published in several magazines.
