As the state ’ s leading professional organization , PSNA represents more than 224,000 RNs . PSNA is a constituent member of the American Nurses Association ( ANA ). PSNA is the respected voice for a tradition of care that serves nearly every Pennsylvania family . We ’ re trusted by public policy decision makers and the broader healthcare community because we represent the values of our members with passion and integrity . Our Members
PSNA is proud to say that our membership has grown every year since 2007 . According to PSNA ’ s annual survey , members :
• Are female ( with a steadily growing male population )
• 500 + young nurse professionals ( within 5 years of licensure )
• Are employed in a variety of settings including ( but not limited to ): hospitals ; academia ; public health agencies ; ambulatory care centers ; long-term care ; and government agencies
• Hold a baccalaureate or higher in nursing
• Reside or work in every Pennsylvania county , with solid representation in Allegheny , Delaware , Berks , and Montgomery counties
