Hazardous Waste Collection Day allows residents to safely dispose of household items
Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful hosted its second Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Oct. 11, accepting items from 481 residents who visited the event.

We even had a visit from a happy repeat customer wearing his Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day T-shirt from 2021!
Our partnership with the St. Lucie County Solid Waste Division makes this event possible twice a year for City and County residents.
• 277 pounds of ammunition
• 29 pounds of prescription medications
• 162 propane tanks
• 63 fire extinguishers
• 1,510 pounds of recyclable batteries
• 482 gallons of used motor oil and gasoline
• 640 pounds of used cooking oil
• 4,526 pounds of electronics like computers, cell phones, tool batteries and small appliances
