2025 State Housing Initiatives Program( SHIP) Annual Report approved by Florida Housing
The State Housing Initiatives Partnership( SHIP) Annual Report is a required document that is submitted every year to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation which details how the SHIP dollars were used in the City of Port St. Lucie the previous year.
On Sept. 12, the Florida Housing Finance Corporation notified Neighborhood Services staff that the 2022-2023 SHIP Annual Report was approved. Special thanks to NSD staff members Nancy Ricci, Ruth Sics, Catherine Sala and Joanne Meneses for their continued work on the SHIP Program on behalf of the City.
NSD Director makes an appearance at City U
Back by popular demand, Neighborhood Services Director Carmen Capezzuto gave an encore presentation to City University Class 15.
Carmen, credited with starting City U in 2016, gave participants an overview of the past, present and future of Neighborhood Services. Several participants had excellent questions about housing programs, code compliance and overall quality of life in their neighborhoods.
Code officers level up
Congratulations to Code Officers Melissa Huckstable, Jeremy Kashatus, Matthew Williams, Anastatia Diaz, Tyler Herzog and Michael Dickerson for passing the Florida Association of Code Enforcement( FACE) Legal Issues in Code Enforcement course.
By passing this course, Code Officer Diaz and Code Officer Herzog advance to Code Officer II. Code Officer Dickerson has advanced to to Code Officer III, which is our highest level at the City.
