Oak Hammock playground redesign in the works Great things are happening in parks!
Demolition for the existing Oak Hammock Park playground began Sept. 21 and we’ re excited to roll out a woodsy, nature‐themed playground for ages 2-12. The redesign comes packed with ADA‐friendly surfacing, a communication board, slides and tons of playful features for kids of all abilities. And for the parents, there will be seating and shade!
Results from the 2026 Citizens Summit showed residents wanted more inclusive playgrounds and this project was approved in the Capital Improvement Replacement Plan for FY 2025-26. The new playground is expected to be ready by late November. Plus, we’ re adding a little extra magic: a nature‐themed mosaic public art installation on a nearby enclosure, scheduled to be complete by April 2027.
We can’ t wait for you all to see what’ s blooming at Oak Hammock Park! www. PSLParks. com
