Keep America Beautiful grant helps local businesses make big impact on cigarette litter
KPSLB continues the fight against cigarette litter with a little help from our long-time Cigarette Litter Prevention Program ambassador, Wayne Landry!
Wayne has been volunteering with the KPSLB program and the Adopt-A-Street program since 2019 and has helped install free cigarette receptacles at businesses and plazas all around the City. Last week, Wayne stopped by My Brother’ s BBQ on Port St. Lucie Boulevard to deliver a receptacle and take a quick photo with our newest CLPP partner!
Since April, KPSLB has distributed 29 ashtrays to local businesses throughout the City and we hope to double that number by December! The Keep America Beautiful Cigarette Litter Prevention and Recycling grant provides funding for this project. This year, KPSLB qualified for a $ 10,000 grant to support our litter prevention efforts with our local business partners.
