City U kicks off this month
The City of Port St. Lucie ' s popular City University kicks off Aug. 12 with the largest group ever.
A total of 160 participants will gain valuable insights into City operations and have an opportunity to become a City Ambassador. The free nine‐session course is designed to educate residents about their local government and empower them by providing an in-depth understanding of municipal functions while fostering civic engagement.
Since the program began in 2016, more than 600 residents have participated.
Residents who cannot attend in person can access City U on Demand for flexible learning options.
City ' s legal ads available on St. Lucie County ' s online portal
The City of Port St. Lucie legal advertisements will primarily be published on the St. Lucie County legal notices portal, in accordance with updated statutory requirements, as of Aug. 1.

This change modernizes and streamlines public access to legally required notices, improves transparency and provides a centralized location for the community to access future legal advertisements.
The City has continued placing ads in the newspaper during the transition period and has advised the public that legal advertisements will move to the county portal starting with August meetings.
