Representatives from Utility Systems recently participated in Sunshine 811 training, reinforcing the City ' s commitment to safe excavation practices and protecting the underground infrastructure our community depends on every day.
The training provided valuable insight into the Sunshine 811 process, including how locate requests are submitted, coordinated and completed before digging begins. Participants also learned about the importance of communication and collaboration between departments to help prevent damage to underground utility lines, improve response times, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
