Summer Camp staff get training
On May 15, Parks and Recreation hosted its annual Summer Camp staff orientation at the MIDFLORIDA Event Center.
This training session brought together all 51 members of the 2026 summer camp team, including new and returning staff. The orientation focused on preparing the team for a safe, engaging and successful camp season.
Staff received training on camp policies and procedures, child supervision standards, emergency protocols, daily program expectations and customer service best practices. The session also provided an opportunity for team building, interaction across camp sites and alignment on the department’ s mission to deliver high-quality recreational experiences for the community’ s youth.
