The restoration of the Polo Player sculpture at Sympatico Plaza is now complete. Damaged several years ago by vandalism, the sculpture has undergone meticulous repair, including the expert recreation of the missing mallet. Now fully restored and returned to its original condition, the Polo Player once again stands as a proud symbol of the community’ s dedication to preserving public art in our shared spaces.
Costco goes solar!
City Council recently approved an amendment to the site plan for the Costco distribution facility in Legacy Park. The amendment provided for the 1.8 million-square-foot center to be 100 % off-grid with onsite solar generation( 22,000 solar panels) and battery storage( 23.4 megawatts).
This is the first fully off-grid distribution center for Costco and it’ s a first for the City. It will include rooftop solar, solar parking lot canopies and ground-mounted solar panels. www. CityofPSL. com / PZ
