Communications team receives national recognition
The Communications Department took second place at the National Association of Government Communicators Blue Pencil and Gold Screen Awards in Pittsburgh.
The City was recognized in the Event Community Engagement Forum category for the Port St. Lucie International Fest.
The NAGC rewards excellence in the field of communications and features a three-day conference to learn what ' s trending from government agencies nationwide.
Youth Council shares update with City Council
Port St. Lucie Youth Council members provided City Council an update May 27 of their events and volunteer activities that took place over the past several months.
Chair Victoria Zaravelis, Vice Chair Enrique Rosario and Chair Pro Tem Keisha Youyoute talked about the history of the Youth Council and why it was created. They provided details about events they ' ve volunteered for this past year as well as upcoming events and partnerships, including one with the Port St. Lucie Police Department.
Community Engagement Manager Stephanie Vernot also provided Council with an update on the Youth Council app, a communications hub where teens can sign up to volunteer and submit volunteer hours.
