Port St. Lucie Green Market a community favorite
Since February, visitors have been enjoying Port St. Lucie ' s newest open-air farmer’ s market every Sunday from 9 a. m. to 2 p. m. It ' s a free family- and pet-friendly event with live music, fresh local foods, including meat and pork from local animals raised without antibiotics and hormones, raw local honey, locally grown produce and farm-fresh chicken and quail eggs.
The market also boasts fresh baked bread, cakes and pies, hot sauces, jerky, freshly made hummus, pita bread and Mediterranean delights, fresh from Florida olive oil, aged balsamic, homemade seasonings, smoked fish and shrimp dip, yummy guacamole and tropical slushes and juices.
There’ s plenty to do for kids and adults alike with a petting zoo, exercise and yoga presentations, and plenty of samples to taste and enjoy. And best of all, the market will remain open throughout the summer, so stop by and enjoy eastern Port St. Lucie’ s favorite green market!
