Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful

Caring Community Cleanup a huge success
On Saturday, April 5, Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful hosted its annual Caring Community Cleanup at City Hall.
This year, 245 volunteers collected a whopping 1,700 pounds of litter, including a misplaced shopping cart, part of a bicycle, various car parts and a few tires.
Volunteers enjoyed breakfast before heading out to their cleanup destinations, then returned for a boxed lunch, music, balloon twisting, face painting, Kona Ice and raffle prizes.
Special guest exhibitors from the University of Florida-AFIS Extension Campus Master Gardener program, the Treasure Coast Waterway Cleanup, Oxbow Eco-Center and Texas Roadhouse set up alongside Parks & Recreation, Naturally PSL, the Neighborhood Services Department, the Office of Solid Waste and KPSLB for the event!
KPSLB would like to thank our Police Department for keeping a watchful eye on our volunteers for the day, Walmart and FCC for providing breakfast and lunch, the many Adopt-A-Street groups who participated and the incredible staff who worked to make this event so awesome!
Since 2014, Caring Community Cleanup volunteers have removed 27,662 pounds of litter from the City of Port St. Lucie. See you all next year! www. CityofPSL. com / KPSLB • 772-871-7000 • KPSLB @ cityofpsl. com
