Graduation held for the Spring 2025 Business Accelerator Program
The Spring 2025 Business Accelerator Program( BAP) was a success! The City-sponsored program, hosted by Indian River State College’ s( IRSC) School of Continuing Education, is a transformative 10-week course that equips new and existing businesses with essential knowledge to thrive in today’ s competitive market.
Twenty-five businesses completed the rigorous curriculum, covering key topics such as time management, exceptional customer service, small business finance, legal workplace issues, sales and marketing, social media strategies and business planning. The course meets weekly, offering in-person sessions at IRSC’ s Pruitt Campus and virtual options for flexibility.
Port St. Lucie businesses graduating from the program were eligible to apply for a City-funded Small Business Reimbursement Grant, offering up to $ 5,000 per business to support expenses like supplies, inventory, marketing, professional services and employee training.
The City of Port St. Lucie remains committed to fostering small business growth and supporting local entrepreneurs.
“ The Business Accelerator Program is a cornerstone of our efforts to build a thriving business community and support economic development,” said Elijah Wooten, Economic Development Administrator.
