Volunteer fair at Treasure Coast High School a success
The Love Your Block team coordinated a Volunteer Fair at Treasure Coast High School, bringing together six City programs: Love Your Block, Naturally PSL, Youth Council, Human Resources, Parks and Recreation and Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful. More than 2,000 students were exposed to a wide range of volunteer opportunities.
Students heard from staff about programs that align with the volunteer hours required for graduation and were able to sign up on the spot. They also learned about career pathways with the City, including opportunities such as summer camp counselor positions.
A special thank-you to Intern Victoria DellaGuardia for spearheading this effort with vision and leadership.
