Floresta Drive Improvement Project Phase 2
The Floresta Drive Improvement Project Phase 2 is substantially complete as the contractor works to finalize the project and complete the remaining punch list items. The Floresta Drive Phase 2 improvements include the construction of an oval-about at Floresta Elementary School. The new configuration supports pedestrian and vehicular traffic in this area. The oval-about will feature dolphin artwork, which is anticipated to be installed in the summer. In addition, the project also included the reconstruction of the bridge crossing the Elkcam waterway, featuring 6-foot sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides to accommodate pedestrians and cyclists as well as a roundabout on Floresta Drive at Polynesian Avenue to safely and efficiently move traffic.
