Supporting the City strategy through department workshops
On Feb. 3, the Building Department held a strategic planning workshop to discuss where the department is headed and how everyone can help shape that journey.
The group spent time discussing what the future of the department could look like— not just in terms of processes and projects, but in how they show up for residents, builders and one another. Ideas ranged from small improvements to bold concepts worth exploring this year.
As the day wrapped up, there was a shared sense of momentum. The workshop wasn’ t just about planning; it was about reconnecting with purpose, celebrating strengths and committing to continued innovation. It set the tone for a year of progress that’ s rooted in teamwork, priorities and a commitment to serving Port St. Lucie.
This workshop exemplifies how City departments like Building are moving forward with purpose, and how the Strategic Initiatives and Innovation team continues to help departments find its place in advancing the City’ s vision to be a leader in finding innovative solutions that put residents first and support opportunities for all people to thrive. www.
