FEBRUARY 2014  Uplift, Educate, Empower and Promote FOUNDERS DAY EDITION 2014 Nine years ago, three ELITE distinguished brothers decided to come together and form an organization in order to help, promote, and educate their fellow brothers. This became the basis of our motto. Today, as well as everyday, we honor the legacy they set in place for us by continuing their dream of a strong positive brotherhood. We may have started small but we have grown in our short time. We are 100 chapters strong and still growing. With brothers representing our fine and ELITE brotherhood across the country, Psi Phi Omega is setting a blazing trail leaving behind a legacy of honor, loyalty, scholarship, and brotherhood. I Am My Brother’s Keeper. You Are Your Brother’s Keeper. Today Distinguished Gentlemen of Psi Phi Omega, we not only celebrate our rich history through Founder’s Day but we celebrate the accomplishments of the present and the destiny’s we will conquer in the future. UPLIFT, EDUCATE, EMPPOWER, & PROMOTE not only today but everyday. In the words of our National President, “This is your season for greatness. Walk tall in your season and pray for your haters.” Happy Founder’s Day. Meet Our National President Our History is unique in man ways. This Elite Group of Gentlemen was established in 2005 with the concepts and beliefs that ALL men are created equal. This Organization does not discriminate based on Sexual Orientation or Color. We accept all men as they are. The Founding Fathers; Sir J.E. Alexander, Sir R. J. Alexander and Sir J. E. Davis; believed that we as a group must Uplift, Educate, Empower and Promote each other. This tradition has continued throughout the years. Today, under Sir Anthony Gaye’s leadership, we exist in nearly 30 States and Internationally as well. From what we have learned through our past, we are now able to move forward productively in the future. Sir Gaye's Vision is to positively impact our community, and he believes that with the work of a few good men, we can reach this goal. He so often quotes the old saying, "Good, better, best, never let it rest; until your good becomes better and your better becomes best.” Our Goal for the next few years is to Educate our Community on HIV/ AIDS- To Speak to Children about Bullying and Gun Violence- To Reduce Crime in our Teen Population. This can be done with the help and dedication of Brothers that have a mind to work.
