I had a giant eyebrow that went from left to right with no gaps in between and had to wear sweat pants under my jeans so I could look like I had an ass. I was so skinny you could see all the veins in my chest and it looked like a maze of green veins. I wore a T-Shirt when I went swimming because I was so embarrassed. It wasn’t until I was 26 years old and my biggest moments of Freestyle popularity were over that I actually started growing into my body. Once you love yourself from the inside out, you will be able to make changes to the physical part of you that will actually matter and stick. Everyone goes through temporary changes but long term changes come from within first. I always dressed nice before but once I loved me, I started dressing like it was my last day everyday. I got braces for my crooked teeth at the age of 40, which I know was late in life but I felt it was something I had to do. It was a tough 24 months but I wanted to have an amazing smile that wasn’t fake and I did it. I still find it extremely strange and I’m a bit naïve at the fact that people look at me and find me attractive. It took me a long time to see someone different in the mirror and I always make sure never to forget where I came from.

What can we expect in the future?

The Real Soave has been busting at the seams to come out. What does that mean? I honestly love Freestyle music and have always been a fan of the genre but my favorite music and the style that really says “Soave” is R&B/dance. I’ve always been that “romantic sit by the fire crazy love” type of a fellow and R&B is where that passion was created. I have new music coming soon which will show people a different side of me that they didn’t realize was me. It’s probably going to be more of an EDM/Pop/R&B style flavor only because vocally that’s where I sing best. I also enjoy the crowd bumping and grooving to my music when I’m on stage and that style of music will keep me there. When I’m on stage, I want everyone standing up, waving their hands side to side, singing along and feeling emotionally high! It’s part of who I am and I expect nothing less. You can expect my new music to give you that feeling, I promise!
