Steve Kindig recently joined PSBA as the production coordinator . Steve worked for 16 years as a newspaper pressman . He was also employed as a promotional ribbon printer . Steve has a degree in mass communications . When he is not busy hiking with his family , he watches NASCAR , the Philadelphia Phillies and the Chicago Bears . He also enjoys trains and model railroading .
Fawn McClure is PSBA ’ s new executive office coordinator / assistant to the CEO . Fawn has worked for five years in the office secretary role , where she learned just how much she loves assisting people and problem-solving . In addition , she plans to graduate this winter from Penn State University with a bachelor ’ s degree in marketing with a minor in psychology . She recently got married in May and will be welcoming a baby girl to her family this fall . Fawn enjoys watching Law and Order SVU and loves hanging out with her family on their boat at Raystown Lake .
Kristin Muncaster is pleased to be the advocacy coordinator at PSBA . Previously , she was a blood drive coordinator for the American Red Cross and a leader for social justice issues such as animal welfare and public health . She also has worked as a recreational coordinator at an assisted living facility , with the key responsibility of communicating with families during the everchanging events of the pandemic . Kristin recently graduated from Wilkes University with a bachelor ’ s degree in communications studies . She enjoys reading ( mysteries or anything true-crime ) and being with family and friends in the Pocono Mountains .
Jo Mundis recently joined PSBA as the legal services coordinator . She began her career as an intern for the PA Bar Association , securing her first job in the law office management department . Since then , she has worked for many years as a regional director for a mental health services organization and an executive assistant / office manager for a private financial services group . Jo brings 30 years of experience to the team and holds a degree in computer information systems from Central Penn College . Outside of the office , Jo loves reading , seeking new adventures , and spending time with her husband , two sons and family .

Charter Reform Virtual Rally includes a special acknowledgement from Gov . Wolf

In a recent press release and video , Gov . Wolf publicly acknowledged the work of PSBA and public school leaders to bring about needed charter school reform . In May school leaders from across the state participated in PSBA ’ s Charter Reform Virtual Rally , where the association reported that more than 400 school boards have adopted a resolution calling for the General Assembly to enact meaningful reforms to the 24-year-old charter school law . The rally was supported by the recent release of the association ’ s Charter School Task Force Report , the result of a multiyear effort bringing together school leaders to examine the state ’ s current charter school law and make recommendations for reform . Grace Rodgers is PSBA ’ s new member experience coordinator . She previously worked as an insurance claims processor . She has an associate degree in business management and is in the process of completing a bachelor ’ s degree program in business administration with a certificate in marketing . In addition to spending time with her three children , Grace enjoys outdoor activities , such as hiking , kayaking and cycling .
