MORE THAN 400 ATTENDED the PASA-PSBA 2021 Virtual School Leadership Conference , offering school leaders over 20 professional development sessions with colleagues , experts and keynote speakers . General sessions opened with brief remarks from PASA or PSBA leadership and a student musical performance , followed by the national anthem and Pledge of Allegiance . Student performers included the Delaware Valley School District choirs , soloist Sofia Mains from Cumberland Valley School District , and orchestral and vocal groups plus soloist Ben Brown from the Upper Dublin School District .
Monday ’ s keynote , Kimberly Reed , an award-winning international speaker , author , corporate trainer and diversity , equality and inclusion executive , presented “ We are the Change ! The Power and Evolution of Diversity , Equality and Inclusion in Education and Leadership .”
Reed founded Reed Development Group after being prompted by a mentor to follow her passion . As it turns out , her passion is for people – advocating and developing people , organizations and communities . She relies upon infinite positivity – as her bestselling book , Optimists Always Win ! attests to . “ We develop leaders , and we develop organizations to ensure that they are innovative , and that diversity is in the DNA of the organization ,” Reed emphasized to conference attendees , going on to talk about the importance of school district data .
