Maintain your INVESTMENT

RVrequire some level of maintenance . You most likely get the oil changed on your car as required by the

owner ’ s manual and manufacturer ; and have maintenance performed or perform it yourself on your lawn equipment . By taking care of your equipment and following the maintenance schedule , it should last longer .
Here are some tips on maintaining your RV for the long haul . First , have a certified RV Technician perform your maintenance . Utilizing an experienced RV Technician to perform your maintenance puts a set of trained eyes on your RV . He or she will have the latest technical knowledge as well as and know the latest trends . The technician sees many more failures related to poor maintenance in a month then we will ever see . It just makes good economical sense to spend a little money to protect your investment . A trained RV Technician will be up-to-date on any service bulletins or recalls that may apply to your unit .
This is a short list of basic maintenance to be performed . Your owner ’ s manual or manufacturer may require more .

Take the time to read the Manufacturer ’ s Maintenance Manual and Owner ’ s Manual .
The Propane system should be inspected at least annually . Spring is a great time to inspect it before you start your RVing season .
There are three tests that need to be completed :
1 ) Operating Pressure Test , which sets your regulator to the correct operation pressure for your appliances .
2 ) Lock-up Pressure Test ensures your regulator will not allow excessive pressure into the propane system .
3 ) Timed Pressure Drop Test tests your system for any leaks . This test will include a bubble test where the technician uses his propane test apparatus . Upon completion of verifying the system is safe , the technician should inspect your propane appliances for safe burning and operation .
