more than 270 years, making it the oldest
vertically integrated food company in the
country.
Today, Rutter’s operates 72 stores in
Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Convenience
Store News magazine named Rutter’s its
2018 Foodservice innovator awardee,
marking its fourth win. The company is
known for taking popular, local food items
and adding them to its menu. Its break-
fast menu includes items such as biscuits
and sausage gravy, while lunch and dinner
offerings include wings, bowls, burgers,
wraps, pizza, soup, salad and stromboli.
Desserts include cannolis, funnel cake
fries and fried oreos.
This year, Rutter’s announced its fresh
and local initiative to bring more locally
grown and produced products into its
stores. Its grab and go cases feature locally
